About
the Market |
The Binford Farmers' Market is in its second year on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
You'll find the season's best bounty of vegetables, baked goods, flowers, perennials, lamb, artisan cheeses, Traders Point yogurt, and ethnic and gourmet specialty products here. All of the agriculturally-related items are produced in Indiana. There are strict health and safety rules for all vendors.
Our Saturday location is easily accessible from I-465, I-69, and along Binford Boulevard and Fall Creek Parkway from downtown. There is plenty of free parking on the grounds of the Market.
There is free entertainment every Saturday morning.
Community groups also have booths to let shoppers know about their activities and local events.
So, enjoy the Market as often as possible. It's about fun, food, and friendly vendors. Early arrivals get first choice of the fine selection. It's a great place for people-watching and people-meeting, too.

Tips for Central Indiana
Gardeners
|
June
-- Check squash and pumpkin plants regularly
for clusters of tiny brown squash bug eggs.
If you find one or more egg masses per plant,
treat after egg hatch with an insecticide.
-- If birds pose a problem to ripening cherries,
protect the fruit by covering plants with
netting.
-- It is not too late to plant pumpkins in
mid-June. Many pumpkins take 90 to 120 days
to mature.
-- To avoid an “alternate bearing”
cycle on fruit trees, thin a heavy fruit set
after the natural “June drop.”

Extension has many helpful pages of information
